HOW TO USE IT:

Click on each top rising artist and explore what has made them more popular. Research their channels and the content they put out, and identify good practices you can adopt.

A little below you’ll find the Top Artists Performing in the Country, sorted by their Viberate rank, which is calculated based on their popularity across their channels.

HOW TO USE IT:

The artists listed are the most popular ones, so don’t be discouraged – use the information as an opportunity to learn. Look at the artists’ genre and country (are they local, regional, international?). Get a sense for the type of music and performers that are the most sought after.

#3 Event Overview and City Map of Live Performances

Event Overview lists the most popular genres in the country according to the events in the Viberate database, and the most common venue types within each genre.

HOW TO USE IT:

#4 Festival Overview and Top Festivals by Lineup Strength

In the Festival Overview section, check the most popular genres in the country according to the festivals in the Viberate database, and the most common festival size within each genre. Next is the overview of top festivals in the country according to their lineup strength.

These are the five festival size categories: Mega (80,000+ visitors), Huge (30,000–80,000 visitors), Big (15,000–30,000 visitors), Medium (5,000–15,000 visitors), Small (0–5,000 visitors).

HOW TO USE IT:

See how well-presented festivals in your genre are to assess the opportunities you have in a certain country.

If a festival on the Top Festivals list fits your genre, work towards getting on the lineup. If you're not quite there yet, start looking for smaller festivals that can lead you towards the bigger ones. Start by filtering festivals on Viberate.com by genre, subgenre, country, etc.

#5 Yearly Overview of Trending Genres and Most Popular Subgenres

Yearly Overview of Trending Genres is a 12-month overview of a genre's popularity, according to the festivals and events in the Viberate database.

HOW TO USE IT:

Check how activity in your genre has changed over the last 12 months and identify the period with the most gig opportunities. The widening of a graph shows increased event and festival activity. For example, you’ll notice that January is traditionally a “dry month”, while the first noticeable signs of the festival season usually start appearing in May. Due to massive cancellations of events and festivals in 2020, the graph above doesn’t reflect the traditional festival season.

The Most Popular Subgenres in the country are calculated according to the festivals and events in the Viberate database. You’ll notice that the subgenres of a single genre have the same color (also check the graph above). In the graph below it’s clear that Mainstream Pop leads by the number of events and festivals, followed by Rock subgenres.

HOW TO USE IT:

See if you can find your subgenre(s) on the list. This shows that artists playing this kind of music have more gig opportunities in the analyzed country.

#6 Most Popular Genres on Music Charts and Tracks on Charts

See the most popular genres in the country, based on the artists appearing on music charts in the past 3 months.

HOW TO USE IT:

See which genres get the most online views, plays and streams.

Research the specific tracks that were massively popular in the country recently – check tracks on the Shazam, YouTube, Spotify, and Deezer charts. Note that not every platform is available on every market, so some charts might be missing (see the example for the Shazam Track Chart below).
