Gabriela: “It's Almost Like a Virtual Family”

#1: The community is almost like a virtual family

Music is the only thing in the world that I can enjoy without any prejudice. It motivates me, it stabilizes me, it complements me. From the beginning, I found working on such an ambitious database great; it is a monstrous and captivating project. At the same time, a friendly work team has formed, almost like a virtual family, so I identify with Viberate's vision.

#2: I feel like I'm a part of the music world

For me, contributing to Viberate is a personal challenge. I love discovering new artists and venues. Every day, I see a large number of artists, venues, festivals, and events around the world. That makes me feel like I'm a part of the music world. Music, in fact, is a whole universe, and being a contributor brings you a little closer to that.

#3: It's an entry point into the industry

Becoming a Viberate contributor is a good starting point if you want to enter the music industry, because it makes you aware of how the social networks are managed. If you want to make it in the music industry, this is indispensable. Secondly, Viberate itself connects you, links you. As a contributor, I have often contacted musicians that I meet in my work. I hadn't known anything about them before, but we clicked. And I have also been able to help my musician friends, sharing the information about the project with them.

#4: You learn about music

Being a contributor requires being dedicated, having concentration and being open to asking and receiving help, but above all, you have to enjoy the process and want to know new things. I think it's really necessary to feel passion for music and its context, to be willing to learn, to broaden your personal conceptions of music and to realize that there are more things out there than you can even imagine.

#5: It's rewarding

It's a great job opportunity, both because of the spirit of the project and the ease of doing it from anywhere and anytime. It’s almost like a dream job for me. Contributors are the link between the artists and Viberate. Every day, the Viberate database grows, and more and more artists are claiming their profiles. The feeling is super cool, it’s simply awesome when a famous artist claims the profile you've added. The Chainsmokers are a good example.
