To analyze different music markets, go to the search box in the navigation bar and type in the country you want to explore. When you get to the specific Country Page, click the "ANALYTICS" button. If you haven't selected your plan yet, you'll first have to sign up and choose the right option for you. 

#1 Country Overview

This is the overall number of artists, venues, festivals, and events in the country according to our database.

HOW TO USE IT: 

Compare different countries to see how developed each music market is.

#2 Fastest Rising Local Artists and Top Artists Performing in the Country

Check the top artists on the rise, sorted by their Viberate Popularity growth in the last 30 days. In case you’re wondering: Viberate Popularity is calculated based on the overall data from social media and music channels.

HOW TO USE IT:

Get a quick overview of the artists with the potential for blowing up and dig deeper by clicking on each artist – this takes you to their Page. If you’re planning an event or festival, booking before an artist explodes can really pay off. 

Another way to explore emerging artists is by using Charts and applying appropriate filters. Read more about it here.

A little below, you’ll find the Top Artists Performing in the Country, sorted by their Viberate rank, which is calculated based on their popularity across their channels.

HOW TO USE IT: 

See who the people like. Check the list of the Top 50 Artists who've performed at events and festivals in the analyzed country. See which genre of artists is usually booked, and which country they are from.

#3 Event Overview and City Map of Live Performances

Event Overview lists the most popular genres in the country according to the events in the Viberate database, and the most common venue types within each genre.

HOW TO USE IT: 

If you’re an event organizer, see how common events of a certain genre are, and assess whether the market has the potential to grow or is already saturated. Filter events and venues on Viberate.com by country, genre, subgenre, etc. to further explore the market.

City Map of Live Performances will tell you the cities in the country with the most festivals and events according to the Viberate database.

HOW TO USE IT: 

When planning an event or festival, focusing on hotspots will reduce the risks, because they indicate there’s an interested audience. Also, check the top genres in each city.

#4 Festival Overview and Top Festivals by Lineup Strength

In the Festival Overview section, check the most popular genres in the country according to the festivals in Viberate database, and the most common festival size within each genre. Next is the overview of top festivals in the country according to their lineup strength

To better grasp the festival size distribution, here’s the key: These are the five festival size categories: Mega (80,000+ visitors), Huge (30,000–80,000 visitors), Big (15,000–30,000 visitors), Medium (5,000–15,000 visitors), Small (0–5,000 visitors).

See how the artists you work with fit into the festival picture based on their genre. If you’re a festival organizer, look at how the genre and size of your festival fit into the market.

If you work with artists, see if you can get them on the lineup of one of the top festivals. Alternatively, start by finding smaller festivals, where they'll gain experience and connections, and gradually move towards the bigger festivals. Filter festivals on Viberate.com by country, genre, subgenre, festival site, etc. to further explore the market.

#5 Yearly Overview of Trending Genres and Most Popular Subgenres

Yearly Overview of Trending Genres is a 12-month overview of a genre's popularity, according to the festivals and events in the Viberate database.

HOW TO USE IT:

When planning an event or festival, look for periods when activity blows up. See if your genre is well-represented compared to others. If not, that might indicate an opportunity. 

Look how much the seasons affect event and festival activity in your genre. This can help you determine the periods to focus on.

The Most Popular Subgenres in the country are calculated according to the festivals and events in the Viberate database. You’ll notice that the subgenres of a single genre have the same color (also check the graph above). In the graph below it’s clear that Mainstream Pop leads by the number of events and festivals, followed by Rock subgenres.

See the most popular genres in the country, based on the artists appearing on Music Charts in the past 3 months.

To assess the market potential, check which genre of music people listen to the most online.

Explore music charts for specific channels in the sections below. See which acts have higher popularity potential: local or international. Check tracks on the Shazam, YouTube, Spotify, and Deezer charts. Note that not every platform is available on every market so some charts might be missing (see the example for Shazam Track Chart below).
