Séance and the Kleptokids

Séance and the Kleptokids is a cosmic alt-rock collective built on contrast — intensity and vulnerability, theatre and truth. Formed by frontman Séance Scythe, the band also features Atlas Ripley on lead guitar, Artemis Cordelia Nova on rhythm guitar, and SunGazer on bass. Together, they craft a sound that defies categorization, fusing elements of alternative rock, emo, punk, indie, and pop to create something that feels both timeless and transcendent.

Their forthcoming debut album, Star Nymph, is a sprawling concept record — a cosmic coming-of-age story about alienation, censorship, false martyrdom, and the psychic bond between outcasts searching for freedom. The narrative is as much about the band’s shared experience as it is about its mythic protagonist, touching on the blurred lines between identity, memory, and meaning.

In September 2025, the band released their first single, To & From, the second track on Star Nymph. The song was introduced through a DIY campaign that invited fans to participate using early-2000s-inspired MySpace aesthetics — handwritten notes, grainy photos, and personal expression — highlighting the community’s creativity and emotional investment.

Other anticipated tracks include Comet Kisser (Mourning Due) and Serial Dater (So Done) — a reimagined version of a 2020 release that marked the earliest phase of Séance’s vision for what would eventually become the band. With no fixed release date yet, Star Nymph continues to evolve alongside the group’s sound and story.
